Private Lessons
Although private lessons are not required to participate in orchestra, there are many great reasons to invest in your child's orchestra experience. First, as part of the Rockwall ISD orchestra program, your child starting in 7th grade has the opportunity to sign up for low cost private lessons that happen during the school day with fully vetted private teachers. Ask your child's director for more information about this amazing opportunity. The school district private teachers are noted with asterisks below. If you some reason, your child is not able to do lessons during the day, any of the teachers below can be contacted to provide lessons.

- diving into music theory which will make them a more proficient musician,
- minimizing frustration for your child, and
- setting your child up for success by helping them learn the fundamentals of music at a quicker rate.
